Welcome to the website of the BBC Rambling Section.
Our aim is to have a Saturday or Sunday walk once a month, plus spring and autumn short breaks and at least one longer holiday each year. We also have the occasional weekday walk.
I am afraid that we have received the sad news that former BBC Rambling Group Chairman John McMillan died on 11th January.
He was a valued member of the group, and led many walks for us over the years, often at a fast pace and over many miles! A keen skier and walker, he didn’t slow down until he was into his 80s
